Pitney Bowes - Transformation of UK HR Services
Basis were asked to provide expertise in the design and implementation
of the most appropriate structures, roles, responsibilities, capabilities and
capacity required to provide a UK Shared Services HR function. We were selected because of our consultants’
previous experiences of transforming service provision as HR heads of large,
international organisations, along with their business analysis and project
management skills.
The project required significant changes to the existing
structure, approach and culture of the current UK RoI function, including the
outsourcing and redesigning of part of the service to support the required
future business needs. In addition the
transformation must also contribute to $2m total savings to be achieved across
European HR by end 2012.
Our inclusive and consultative approach has not only identified
the future business needs across this diverse and transforming organisation but
has also engaged with and gained commitment from business leaders, managers and
the current HR team. External
benchmarking will be undertaken with other organisations which operate a shared
services model in order to incorporate best practices and lessons learned.
Effective programme management was provided by Basis to develop
and implement a robust approach to achieve the desired future
state including new ways of working, capability development, team development
and embedding a customer centric and responsive culture.
