Central Government
Basis has worked with all the main Departments of State and has been an approved Government supplier since we formed in 1993 under repeated long term framework agreements. Basis has never failed to be reappointed as an approved supplier when Government framework agreements have been renewed.
Typically we are asked to undertake high profile assignments at the leading edge of Government reform and where there is keen Ministerial, Parliamentary, media and public interest.
We have designed and launched a number of high profile Executive Agencies and continue to provide them with a range of on-going support. We continue to be involved in organisational design, mergers and rationalisation of Government organisations.
Most recently we have been actively involved in the Government’s efficiency agenda with assignments including:
- Development and installation of flexible deployment methods to enable Department for Transport undertake better business planning and resource management
- A People Strategy for the Highways Agency and a programme to build commercial acumen for newly recruited or promoted senior managers to fill a major capability gap
- Evaluation of the Traffic Officer training programme – a piece of work nominated for a national award by the British Psychological Society
- Process redesign, change management and HR support for the Criminal Records Bureau
- Executive coaching to address leadership development issues at Communities and Local Government
- Training in smart working methods for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
