Basis is looking for top graduates to provide:
analyst support to projects helping London’s public sector to improve faster and better
operational support – further developing Basis (business plan, support marketing, research) in support of our management team
This unique opportunity will give you first-hand experience of transformation in the public sector, the chance to attend the same training as our consultants, and the opportunity to develop practical skills whilst making a real impact.
You will gain exposure to a real projects as part of your internship. It will give you experience of responsibilities such as:
Mapping and analysing processes and structures to identify opportunities for improvement
Completing financial and cost analysis
Organising and supporting workshops
Gathering data to develop findings and conclusions
Some of the work will be on client site, where you will gain unique first-hand experience of how transformation works within local government.
So what can you expect from us?
A minimum of two days training in organisational improvement methods
Two hours of coaching/mentoring each week, provided by one of the Basis managing directors or the Basis project lead
Direct client work – not hidden in the background
A variety of tasks and assignments
Regular feedback to support quick learning cycles
£21,216 per annum, pro-rata
And what do we expect from you?
You will need to be a graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree or be penultimate year student on track for 2:1 Bachelor Degree (or an international equivalent) with a strong academic record

Passionate and professional in your work - you must enjoy working hard within a team of both clients and fellow consultants, in a collaborative and supportive environment
Organised and adaptable - used to working to tight deadlines and have an eye for detail.
We will also expect you to have the following skills/knowledge
A basic understanding of the organisation of the UK public sector and its challenge
Some experience already of analysing processes, systems or finances
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (in English)
Keen interest in feedback and development with a focus on putting learning into action
An understanding of business management principles
Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite with an ability to learn new technology quickly
You will also need to demonstrate relevant extra-curricular experience
Other expectations, but not essential
Previous internship or work experience is a strong advantage
Demonstration of social commitment and cultural & diversity awareness is an advantage
